There is

were made in the Uttarayan area. One of them was transformed into 'Konark'
home. Firstly its roof was made of straw. Afterwards it was conreted. The floor
of the house was up and down.
----Udayan-----
This
house has been broken by many times and today's form is 'Udayan'. There was
woodwork inside the house. There is the gap in the middle and there is the sitting
place around the gap. The inner walls are covered with cooling mat. The
interior of the house was created by Kaviguru himself. The last birthday of the
poet was observed in the porch of this house. On July 5, 1941, Rabindranath
went to Calcutta for the last time for illness. Rabindra-Museum was firstly developed at this
house.
---- Shyamoli
-----
On the
east side of Konark in Uttaran, the clay house is Shyamali. Rabindranath would
never have liked the same house. So this house is built. The walls and ceilings
of the house are of soil. The students of Kala Vaban made many statues in Shyamali’s
wall. There is a unique 'Santal-Santalini' architecture built by Ramkinkar Base
on the entrance. Gandhiji, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Binoba and many prominent
personalities including Mother Teresa stayed in this house.

walls of this house are made of clay and the roof is made of concrete. There is
a room in the middle and there is an open verandah around it. Later the balcony
was covered by glasses. The poet told that Shyamali was the last house of his
life. But again this house was built. So the house was named 'Punascha’.

the poet could not stay in a house for a long time. So, Udichi was built again.
