-----মাহে রমযান----- শ্রী রূপেশ কুমার সামন্ত/ রমযানের শান্তির বানী, নব-প্রভাতের বানী অনুরণিত হয় কাজী নজরুল ইসলামের লেখনীতেও। ‘কেন জাগাইলি তোরা’ শীর্ষক কবিতায় মাহে রমজান প্রসঙ্গ অত্যন্ত তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ- “মাহে রমজান এসেছে যখন, আসিবে ‘শবে কদর’ নামিবে রহমত এই ধূলির ধরার পর।… … … আমি দেখিয়াছি – আসিছে তোদের উৎসব-ঈদ-চাঁদ, – ওরে উপবাসী ডাক তাঁরে ডাক, তাঁর নাম লয়ে কাঁদ। আমি নয় ওরে আমি নয় – ‘তিনি’ যদি চান ওরে তবে সূর্য উঠিবে, আমার সহিত সবার প্রভাত হবে।” রমযান মাস মুশলিমদের একটি ধর্মীয় পবিত্র মাস। কিন্তু আপামর জনসাধারণের মনে এই পবিত্র মাসটি সম্পর্কে রয়েছে নানান কৌতুহল। এটি মুশলিমদের ধর্মীয় আচার হলেও এর বিশ্বজনীন তাৎপর্য অসীম।  -----‘মাহে রমযানে’র অর্থ কি? ‘মাহে রমযান' অর্থ রমযানের মাস। 'রমযান' শব্দটি আরবি 'রময' শব্দ থেকে এসেছে। 'রময' অর্থ দহন বা পোড়ানো। রমযান মাসে মাসে রোজা পালন করলে মানুষের মধ্য থেকে লোভ, লালসা, পাপ, হিংসা ও বিদ্বেশ দূর হয়। রোজা পালনকারী রমযানে তার সব পাপ মুছে ফেলার পবিত্র সুযোগ লাভ করেন। রমযান মাসে পালিত ইসলামিক উপবাসকে ...

------250 YEARS OLD BEGUNBARI KALI PUJA, PANSKURA, WB------ Rupesh Samanta/ 16.05.2018 Rattanti Kali Puja of Tintauri Begunbari is about 250 years old. Tintauri Begunbari is in the south side of Panskura and Kshirai station. Begunbari Kali is worshiped every year on the Bengali month ‘Jaistha’. Thousands of pilgrims gather from different parts of West Bengal. They offer sacrifices for fulfilling their desires. Thousands of goats are sacrificed. It is said that there were two brothers, Hinu and Dinu. They were of a poor family. During that time, there happened cholera diseases. Hinu and Dinu were also affected by the disease. There was no treatment at that time. They prayed to the Mother that if the disease got healed, they would worship the Mother. After that, two brothers became cured.
